In my Favourites folder, most of the links that appear here
are under the topic 'Anti-M$'. Although that is a correct
representation of the material under this heading, the connotation
does leave a lot to be desired. There seems to be a lot of
wannabeeism associated with this topic nowadays. Not that
I dont subscribe to a lot of those characteristics, I'm not
too much of a literate myself. But I persobally believe that
these are articles that one must begin with. And needless
to say, the list never stops here at 'Reality Check - M$'
Reality Check - M$
Radsoft.net's
foreword
to their Linux section. A quick run-down on the entire
M$ history. You may also want to browse the entire Linux
Resource section.
Another article on webmasterbase,
taking you through the
real history of the GUI. Definitely worth more than a
read.
The XP Center of Reality Check - M$
The original BoycottXP.com.
An Opinion
on infoworld by Ed
Foster. Some Extra-software
practices by Microsoft.
Bob Cringely's Pulpit
has this
article on raw TCP/IP sockets in XP.
Other issues with Microsoft in General, and of course
their view of how you should live your life
Risks of
the Passport Single Signon Protocol, by David
P. Kormann and Aviel D.
Rubin.
A review
of a book on Slashdot.
Called Breaking Windows.
Did you know that Microsoft likes it when you upgrade.

Justice Department Vs. Microsoft
Think we need to get the facts straight first? Okay
here is coverage by BBC,
Wired News,
CNN
and, oh well, MSNBC.
Why the US government surrendered.
Satirewire.com
decidedly has the best ruling.
Virii and other real life phenomina
One thing that Nimda did, other than to make me
miss a lot of sleep, is to show, according to gartner,
that you just cannot
patch fast enough. ZDNet wants you to ban
Outlook and is carrying Gartner's advice to scrap
IIS.
Microsoft responds by releasing a set of security
guidelines. And then rants
about everyone other than Microsoft and the virus writers.
Why this section is not called anti-M$
If this part of the website was only a rant section
this link researching tommorrow's
Operating system, would not figure on it. Good speak,
but are they upto it. Last heard they were busy
fixing bugs. More on that fixing memo
is on C|Net.
